William A. (Bill) Yager Death Notice (4/11)
It is with great sorrow that Saint Joseph Parish announces the sudden death of Deacon Aspirant William A. Yager, 56, of 5 Adams Court in Shelburne Falls. Bill told Barb that he didn’t feel well and was having problems breathing, and as a result was taken to the hospital. It was discovered that his lungs had numerous blood clots. Apparently one of them burst, and he died a short while later of a heart attack (Sunday, April 10th). He had been annointed by Father Tomasz Gorny and with Father Roach and his family in attendance at his bedside.
Bill was our Religious Education Coordinator, an RE teacher, Eucharistic Minister, served on the Pastoral Council and was involved in most aspects of parish life.
There are no calling hours. The funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 10 a.m. His burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Parish in his name. Rest in Peace, Bill. God Speed.
