The Souper Bowl of Caring is a canister drive that collects money for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts on Super Bowl weekend (February 6/7). That money helps them use their purchasing power to buy 3 meals for every $1 donated – that’s better than we can do as a church – and that’s why your donations go to The Food Bank, where it can do the most good!
According to The Food Bank, “each week, 15,000 of our neighbors seek food assistance from The Food Bank and our member agencies.”
Poverty rate in Franklin County: 9.2%
Of the people served by The Food Bank:
32% are children under the age of 18
8% are senior citizens
