CONGRATULATIONS
Parents, Grandparents, siblings, friends, fellow parishioners and classmates welcomed Nina Holan, Caiden Manning and Scarlott Shea, students in our Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) program, into the Church on Sunday, May 7 when they received their First Communion/First Eucharist and were enrolled into the Brown Scapular program.
This Sacrament is a very significant milestone in a young Catholic’s life with the Church. It is when the Church recognizes that a child has developed a conscience and is now old enough to acknowledge the significance of the Eucharist.
To Catholics, the Eucharist is the transubstantiation of the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus, which He offered to the Apostles at the Last Supper. Congratulations to all of our First Communicants. Parents: please continue to lead by example!
