May Crowning

Sunday, May 1 began our parish’s month-long celebrations of our Blessed Mother, Mary. Youth from our Religious Education program brought flowers and placed them on a table beneath a tapestry of the Virgin Mary. A floral wreath was also placed on the head of the statue; a symbolic “crowning” of the Queen of Heaven.

Afterwards, the flowers were taken and planted in the Marian garden in front of St. Joseph Church.

We wish to thank Hugh & Joan Knox who donated the floral crown and John Musacchio of Greenfield Open Air Market for donating the beautiful potted flowers used by the youth in the ceremony.

The celebrations this year were held indoors due to inclement weather.

Before the weekday Masses in May, a rosary is prayed beginning at 8:40am.
