DEANERY-WIDE DIVINE MERCY CELEBRATION: The Franklin County Deanery will sponsor a Divine Mercy Celebration at Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield on Sunday, April 27th. We will also honor Blessed Pope John XXIII and Blessed Pope John Paul II who will be raised to Sainthood on this day. The service will include Benediction, Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Novena Prayer. All Catholic Churches in Franklin County will be participating in this celebration in which great emphasis is being placed on the Eucharist and devotion to our Lord. Bishop Timothy A. McDonnell will be the Presider and Homilist.
“A Plenary Indulgence is granted to all faithful and to each individual faithful under the usual conditions sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and prayer in keeping with the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff, with the soul completely removed from attachment to any form of sin), each and every time they participate attentively and piously in a sacred function or a devotional exercise undertaken in honor of the Blessed Sacrament, solemnly exposed and conserved in the tabernacle.” Confessions will be available from 1:45 – 3:00 p.m. The celebration will begin at 3:00 p.m.
