About a dozen young people in our Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) class gathered together on February 9 to make Valentine’s Day cards for the resident veterans of the Soldier’s Home, located in Holyoke, MA.
Supervised and guided by their Catechists, the students really seemed to enjoy making 128 cards, or enough Valentine’s For Vet’s cards for each resident inhabiting 2 wings of the home.
Juanita Bousquet will deliver the cards on Wednesday afternoon, in time that they may be handed out to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14.
Thanks to Juanita, Katie Scranton, Paula Harrison, Barbara Yager and Nancy Finn for getting all of the materials together and letting everyone’s creative and artistic imaginations take over!
