Bishop McDonnell formally accepted Father Paul’s request for a 2-year leave of absence commencing August 15, 2012. That means his last weekend Masses will be celebrated on August 12, which will be followed by a farewell concert given by Father Paul at the Shelburne-Buckland Community Center. His final Mass at Saint Joseph Parish will be to celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 15 August. He will then depart for the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA to pursue his Masters of Music degree in their Voice Program.
UPDATE 1: Father notified the Pastoral Council on Thursday, May 3 that his final Mass will be celebrated on August 19.
