4 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound Commissioned

Writer's picture: St. Joseph ParishSt. Joseph Parish

Fr. Tony has been working to re-establish this ministry in the parish.  Meetings have been ongoing, and this weekend he commissioned four of the parish’s newest members as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound.  Congratulations to: Enrico & Giulia Mezzacappa and Ron & Annette Szpila.  They will be visiting BayState Franklin Medical Center, the residents of LaBelle’s Rest Home, and the nursing homes in Greenfield to share the Church’s ministry to the sick after the manner of Jesus.

In bringing Communion to the sick and homebound, the EMHC represents Christ and manifests faith and charity on behalf of the whole community toward those who cannot be present at Sunday Mass.  This ministry is a sign of support and concern shown by the Parish for its community.  Please contact Fr. Tony if you wish to participate in this ministry.
