Greetings and salutations from Kenya! We had our three days of Retreat which seems to have gone well. Now the meals will be talking meals and not silent which will be a blessing, I only had to do a talk each morning which seems to have been blessed by the Spirit because the Brothers have been liberal in their praise.
I had visited the Sisters of Our Lady of Africa and Sister Margaret said I should have it looked into. I went to the chapel this afternoon with Bro. Benjamin to meet with the doctor who comes every Saturday or Sunday to see the patients. I had to wait for about an hour before she arrived. She was tall, stunningly beautiful, elegant and very, very nice. She gave me pills, one each day which should reduce the swelling but cause me to urinate frequently and rather large pills, antibiotic, which I have to take four times a day. She said that in three days I should be much better and, if not, I am to have Bro. Urbanus call here and she would arrange to have me go to Kenyatta Hospital to have a little surgery to analyze the infection. I am quite sure that in three days I will be fine and not have to have any surgery.
Everything is going well. I have to celebrate Mass tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the Choca Chapel for the Choir and then accompany them on a Recollection Day. I am looking forward to it.
Well supper bids me to get to table. Hope all is well with everyone.
